Bridging the Gap Between Need and Care
Making the healthcare system more responsive to the needs of our communities is more than just a business venture for Dohmen. It’s personal. As individuals, and as a company, we believe that access to affordable, effective healthcare is a basic human right. That’s why we created the Dohmen Company Foundation in 2008. Initially endowed with $3 million, the foundation is funded annually by contributions from our operating profits.
To date we have distributed $7.5 million to organizations making a real difference around the world, including:
- MAP International, a distributor of medicines and emergency medical supplies to underprivileged people in 117 countries
- IMA World Health, a global provider of healthcare services and products to people in need
- Vitamin Angels, which provides nutritional supplements to more than 40 developing countries, with a goal of eliminating Vitamin A-deficiency childhood blindness by the year 2020
- Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy
- UW-Madison School of Pharmacy
- Wisconsin Historical Society
